Maintaining Your Oral Health

A good dental cleaning is essential to maintaining your oral health. Even the most conscientious patient cannot reach every deposit of plaque or tartar that accumulates in the mouth with daily brushing and flossing. We encourage our patients to maintain good oral health by coming in for a twice yearly dental exam and by staying current with the dental cleaning schedule prescribed by your hygienist. If you are diagnosed with gum disease, (which is an infection around the base of the teeth causing the bone around the teeth to dissolve), we will bring you back in either four months for moderate disease or three months for advanced disease to clean below the gums, removing the harmful bacteria.

The Latest Technology: Enhancing Patient Comfort and Care

Our general dentistry team uses state of the art dental technology to care for our patients’ oral health. Tools such as DIAGNOdent and the Velscope allow us to conduct thorough diagnostic examinations for cavities and oral cancer. These breakthroughs in dental science enable us to catch potentially harmful conditions in a minimally invasive fashion, much sooner than was previously possible. This means added comfort, fewer visits, and earlier, less extensive treatment for our patients.
