New Patients

We always welcome new patients! Whether you need us to deal with a dental emergency or want to book a routine checkup and cleaning, we are pleased to accommodate you, your family, and your friends. And yes! We can DIRECT BILL your insurance. In order to keep our costs low, we do prefer to deal with you directly, however assignment is always an option.

If you are in pain, or have a dental emergency, we will always book you in as soon as possible. We have a firm commitment never to leave a patient in pain.

We will start with a comprehensive dental exam , where the dentist will do a thorough exam, including an examination of your jaw joints and muscles, an oral cancer screening, an evaluation of your bite, and diagnosis of any dental disease. We will book you a cleaning with one of our hygienists, and we will discuss the hygienist’s evaluation of your gums, and work with her to create a plan to keep your gums healthy and treat any infection present.

The dentist will always consider your concerns when discussing possible treatment plans. Here at the Whitemud Dental Centre, we want you to know that there are always many possible solutions when we are looking at your treatment. Our goal is to provide you with the up sides and down sides of each treatment option so that you are able to make the best choice for your dental health. We always try to take a long term view of your oral health so that we can find solutions that fit into your budget today, but don't close the door on treatments that may be more ideal for you down the road. That way we keep your options open.

If extensive treatment is needed, we would be glad to develop a customized plan to treat you in stages. If you have concerns with finances, our receptionists will be available to discuss options that will make payment easier for you.

Our philosophy at Whitemud Dental Centre is that educated patients make educated decisions about their teeth. We enjoy teaching patients about their dental needs so that they understand both the disease processes occurring in their mouths, and the treatment that is offered.

In order to keep our costs down, our preferred method of payment is direct from the patient and we complete all of your insurance information for you. However, we would be glad to direct bill your insurance if required to assist you in achieving your dental health goals.
